    What We Do

Atlantis Energy Systems, Inc. is a minority owned manufacturer of Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) products. Two of our most widely used products are Sunslates™ PV roofing tiles and custom PV glass laminates or integrated PV glass.  In addition, the AES product line includes the MegaSlate PV roofing tiles and the Bigfoot  Flat Roof PV Mounting System.

Atlantis Energy Systems, Inc. takes great pride in its other services including:
Integrated PV curtainwall design assistance, system design & integration, project coordination, LEED Performance & commissioning consult and, training.

  • Sunslates

    Sunslates

With SUNSLATES™ solar electric roofing tiles, you get more than a roof over your head. A technologically advanced roofing solution dramatically reduces electricity demand. Atlantis Energy's stringent standards and insistence on using superior building materials, results in a product that will last for decades. Each SUNSLATE™ tile has the potential of producing 19 Watts at peak.

Our Sunslates dominate the European PV roofing world.

SUNSLATES® are composed of a solar module, connection box and Eternit slate. The solar module and the connection box are laminated together and then glued to the surface of the slate. The SUNSLATE™ is then installed by a typical roofing technique called double overlap. SUNSLATES® are a light concrete roofing material and have passed all roofing tests made by the Eternit Company supplying the base slate. Lastly, our SUNSLATES® are a UL listed product.  Because it is a roofing product it is installed using onsite electrical or certified roofing sub contractors.

    PV Skylights

Photovoltaics have traditionally been manufactured, sold as "off-the-shelf" or standard product and installed in retrofit applications. ‘Standard’ PV modules are generally produced with aluminum frames designed for grouping on racks to be deployed on buildings or on the ground for reducing building electrical load after the building has been constructed.

A wide variety of BIPV systems are available in today's markets. Most of them can be grouped into two main categories: facade systems and roofing systems. Facade systems include curtain wall products, spandrel panels, and glazing. Roofing systems include tiles, shingles, standing seam products, and skylights.  Let Atlantis Energy Systems show your design team how PV modules can be designed as aesthetically integrated building components (like awnings) and as entire structures (such as bus shelters). BIPV is sometimes the optimal method of installing renewable energy systems in urban, built-up areas where undeveloped land is both scarce and expensive.

Let our team of architects and engineers help make your design goals a success.

    AES Streetlamps

Atlantis introduces new ways to light up the night.

Streetlamps can take back the night. They extend security and safety plus convenience. Until now they have needed connection to the utility grid, trenching, and expensive maintenance agreements for frequent lamp replacement. No more!

AES Solar LED Overhead Lighting Package is designed to provide targeted white lighting and all the associated benefits without the need for expensive trenching and wiring. The system includes solar panel, two-axis adjustable panel mounting system for optimal charging, 360° adjustable overhang lighting arm for targeted lighting, high efficiency LED light, NEMA 3R battery enclosure, 50 amp-hour sealed battery, and solar lighting controller. The customer must supply the standard 3 inch O.D. light pole.

  • MegaSlate

    MegaSlate

    AES Streetlamps

MegaSlate® is an ETL approved Building-Integrated PV(BIPV) roofing system that consists of frameless 4'-4"x3'-3" individual modules capable of producing 130W to 150W peak.  The modules can be designed in a system that is adaptable to the dimensions of a sloped roof, ideal for larger end-use electrical loads like small commercial, light industrial or large families.  Using MegaSlates, small roof areas can also maximize solar harvesting.  For example, a system with 28 MegaSlate modules will produce over 4.2kW of electricity at peak.

An ideal, simple and cost-effective solution for the owner, architect and planner who demands both functionality and beauty out of a roofing system. The MegaSlate is another Atlantis Energy Systems simple, easy to assemble & install PV system that makes the project affordable for the owner & an ease for the contractor to fit into his project budget and time constraints.

  • BigFoot

    BigFoot

Big Foot is a flat roof PV mounting system that is easy to install and maximizes power production. The use of a patent-pending, interlocking module-inverter-rack mounting structure allows for minimal blasting or roof penetrations.

Big Foot is the ideal, simple and cost-effective solution for the owner, architect and planner who demands functionality and power production out of a roofing system. The system is simple & easy to assemble & install which makes the project affordable for the owner & a pleasure for the contractor.
